Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Use apply to your use of the Story Remote website, courses, digital products, educational materials and related services.

By purchasing a product or service, creating an account, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms of Use together with any additional terms presented to you at checkout.

If you do not agree to these terms, you should not purchase or use the relevant products or services.

Story Remote offers digital educational products and services, which may include online courses, workshops, mentorship, downloadable resources, templates, educational materials and related content.

We may improve, update or modify course materials over time, provided this does not unlawfully deprive you of the core product or service you purchased.

Your account & access

Certain Story Remote products require you to create or use an individual customer account.

You are responsible for providing accurate information and for keeping your login details and password confidential.

Your account is personal to you. Unless we expressly state otherwise, one purchase provides access for one individual.

You may not give another person access to your account or allow multiple people to use a single individual licence.

Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the content made available through Story Remote is protected by intellectual property laws.

This may include videos, lessons, recordings, text, graphics, photographs, course structures, exercises, workbooks, PDFs, templates, downloads, frameworks, branding and other educational materials.

All applicable intellectual property rights remain with their respective owner.

No sharing, copying or resale

Your purchase is for your own use. Unless we have given you written permission, you may not:

• Share your course login or account with another person
• Copy or reproduce our course materials for distribution
• Upload our materials to another website or platform
• Sell, sublicense or redistribute our content
• Share paid downloads, workbooks or templates with others
• Record or redistribute course videos or private sessions
• Present our educational materials as your own
• Create substantially copied products from our protected materials

You are, of course, free to use the skills and knowledge you learn from Story Remote in your own photography, filmmaking, content creation and business.

Payments

Prices and applicable taxes are displayed during the purchasing process.

By placing an order, you agree to pay the amount shown at checkout and confirm that the payment information you provide is valid and that you are authorised to use the selected payment method.

If a product is offered through a payment plan, you remain responsible for all agreed instalments unless applicable law or the specific terms of that purchase provide otherwise.

Failure to make an agreed payment may result in suspension or termination of access to the relevant product or service.

Refunds & right of withdrawal

Due to the digital nature of our products and the immediate access provided upon purchase, all sales are final and we do not offer refunds except where required by applicable law.

For customers in the European Union, during checkout you may be asked to expressly consent to the immediate supply of digital content and acknowledge that, once access to that digital content begins, you lose your statutory right of withdrawal.

Nothing in these Terms of Use limits mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or waived.

No guaranteed results

Our courses and educational products are designed to teach skills, techniques, creative approaches and business concepts based on our experience and expertise.

However, purchasing or completing a Story Remote product does not guarantee any particular creative, professional, financial, business or other result.

Your results depend on many factors outside our control, including your experience, effort, implementation, circumstances, market and individual decisions.

Examples, case studies and results discussed in our content are illustrative and should not be interpreted as a promise that you will achieve the same outcome.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use our website, products, community spaces or services in a way that is unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or disruptive.

Suspension or termination does not affect rights or obligations that arose before termination, including outstanding payment obligations or intellectual property rights.

Story Remote may rely on third-party platforms and service providers for functions such as payment processing, course hosting, website hosting, email delivery and other technical services.

We may also link to third-party websites, tools, products or resources for your convenience.

Third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.

Liability

We aim to provide high-quality, accurate and useful educational content, but we cannot guarantee that every piece of information will always be complete, error-free or suitable for every individual situation.

You remain responsible for the decisions you make and the way you apply information obtained through Story Remote.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising solely from your use of our website, educational content or digital products.

Nothing in these Terms of Use excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law, nor does it limit mandatory consumer rights.

Governing law

These Terms of Use are governed by Belgian law, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules that apply to you.

Where you are a consumer residing in another country, nothing in these terms deprives you of mandatory protections you are entitled to under applicable consumer law.

Any dispute will be handled by the competent courts in accordance with applicable law.
