We love the story untold. The remote story. The journey less traveled. We want to go where others stop. We want to tell stories from remote corners of the world - and tell our own in the process.

To put it simply...

let's do something together!

This feel like your vibe?

I flew there to have a face-to-face chat with the guy I had broken up with 8 months before that. The last time we had seen each other in real life was at a wedding in India. I stayed for 3 days and flew back ON Christmas day on an completely emty plane with the airhosts wearing Christmas hats and Christmas music playing in the background (it sounds funny but it was incredibly sad).

How did Joa & I meet?

Alright. Story time.

A mutual friend of mine talked about Joa. We were, funnily enough, celebrating New Year's together. I had just taken a plane back from New Zealand a couple of days prior to that.

I had been in Indonesia for about a month when a certain morning I said to the creators in the Lost Creator house (I had just arrived at the house a few hours prior to that), "alright I'm flying to New Zealand! In a couple of hours. I've just decided. I still have to book my tickets".

When you're already in Indonesia from Belgium, 11 more hours to New Zealand isn't that far, was my reasoning.

On the plane, I wrote a letter to the universe. That I'd meet the man of my life. A man that loves all the things I love, and is ambitious at the same time. (because may I add, most people that are adventurous are not ambitious, and the ambitious ones usually not interested in climbing mountains. It's a difficult find, truly.)

But especially, someone I'd connect with on a soul level. An incredible connection. Because behind shallow metrics like shared interests, can nothing and nobody describe what a true connection feels like.

After not even having met him, I asked if he'd come with me to Vegas to a business event. He said yes, obviously straight away.

I was like, yes, that's the man for me.

So fast forward a couple of days, I am spending New Year's with that friend (she's amazing, funny, and also very spontaneous like me), and she talks about Joa, because she had modelled for a photo shoot of him.

She's mentioning the fact that he's also a surfer, a diver and a videographer. I didn't think much of it, until she showed me an image of him.

I cannot put it into words, but when I saw the image I knew I had to send him a message.

It was so weird but.. I just knew.

On my way to report someone for using the word "authentic" unironically.

Joa: "when I saw her message, I had the exact same feeling. I just knew.

I was just about to board a flight for a month to Bonaire, the Carribean. I didn't reply, because I was about to leave, but I though "fuck".

The following month, we talked every single day over message and later over FaceTime. It was absurd, as if we had known each other for a lifetime."

Raïs: After not even having met him, I asked if he'd come with me to Vegas to a business event. He said yes, obviously straight away.

I was like, yes, that's the man for me.

After a month that seemed like a lifetime, we met in real life and the rest is history.

That same evening Joa suddenly told me he had booked the plane tickets already.

And I can genuounly say (and I tell Joa all the time), I fall in love with him a little more, every single day.

I'm still as wildly in love, if not more, since meeting him.

(If there is one, we'll meet again in the next life too.)

Since then, we've given workshops together, traveled to mountains, recorded courses together, gave keynote talks, podcasts, traveled in a van, and joined forces in telling stories worldwide.

The best things in life happen also happen when you're open to them.
